8.5 inches is what shoe size
Shoe size is measured using a system called "inch-based", which means that the sizing is based on the shoe’s length in inches, not centimeters. It doesn't matter what shape your foot is (round, oval, etc.) or
how wide it is; you'll always fit into the same size for
all shoe brands. Shoes intended for sports activities will differ from those
meant for casual wear or dress shoes and so on.
However, one thing you'll notice about these different types
of shoes are that they often have widths that are smaller than their lengths as
well as sturdier soles with more traction to provide better support when
running or playing certain sports.
A shoe size is the length of a foot, from the heel to the longest toe. The most common shoe sizes are 8.5 inches or 10 inches. Shoe sizes usually range from 5-14 with larger numbers for shoes that are built for walking on more rugged terrain.
The two measurements are taken in millimeters, but some retailers use centimeters instead. This can be problematic for people who live outside of countries that only use one measurement system,
as they will often have to convert one set of numbers into the other before ordering their shoes online.
8.5 inches is what shoe size. There seems to be a lot of confusion about this measurement, and we will try to clarify: the first number is the length of your foot from the heel to where your toes start;
These are often said to weigh between 13 and 20 pounds (6-9 kg), depending on the make. The boots usually have a side zipper and a speed lace system to make it easier to put them on or take them off. The boots are designed with a tread that makes it difficult for the wearer to slip on wet surfaces. Most Navy SEALs wear combat boots during the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training (BUD/S) and in their overall careers as SEALs.
The four-month initial Advanced Training for Operators (ATO) part of SEAL qualification also requires the use of these boots.
the second
number is how wide it is across at that point. So if you have a size 10, your
foot would be 9 inches long and 4 inches wide across.
Believe it or not, the average shoe size in America is 8.5 inches. The typical woman would need an 8-8 1/2 US women’s shoe and a 9-9 1/2 US men’s shoe to fit comfortably in the American style of shoes that are seen on the runway,
which have been appearing in recent seasons with a shape of
about 10 inches high and 6 inches wide at their widest point.
Shoe sizes are measured in a certain number of inches according to certain standards. Shoe sizes range from 1-12, with most shoes being between 6-10.
Some shoes go bigger than others, but there is no universal
standard for how big these extra-large shoes are going to be because what
constitutes "too big" varies from society to society and person by
person as well!
It’s important to know your shoe size and what exactly it means.
In fact, knowing your shoe size is a great way to know how to care for your feet better, keep them healthy and beautiful so they look their best all year round.
Knowing more about shoes also allows you to make smarter choices when it comes time to buy shoes.
